Crazy December

December was very busy and very exciting for us.

On the 17th of this month, we got snow! There was about a foot of snow at our house. In the morning, it was not sticking at our house. My mom called and said she had tons at her house. I did not want the kids to miss the snow, so I drove to my mom's house across town. After being at her house a few hours, it poured and Hesperia was covered in snow. So later I had to drive home in the snow. It was scary, But I did okay. Rebecca loved the snow! She threw snowballs, made snow angels, ran around and laughed. Jeremy hated the snow. He just stood outside and cried. We decided that Megan was too little to play in the snow. Maybe next year. When Seth got home from work, he and the kids made a snowman. The snow stayed for about 5 days!!! It was great. On the 18th, Seth made a sledding track in our yard and the kids and I went sledding all day. Jeremy had fun... until he hit the bottom and landed face first in the snow. Rebecca loved sledding! Our neighbor painted his house lime green a few months ago, and I stood out like crazy in the snow. It was really funny! We also took our family pictures in the snow. They came out really cute.

This year, Rebecca decorated our Christmas tree. I was going to do it. I got out all of the ornaments, but had to go to the bathroom. When I got out, Rebecca was putting them on the tree. Jeremy helped by handing Rebecca the ornaments so she can put them on the tree. It looked beautiful!

Christmas was wonderful this year! It was our first Christmas that we stayed home all day. It was so nice and relaxing. We went to our families' houses on other days. I also made my first turkey. I turned out so good! I was really proud of myself. Santa brought us lots of great stuff this year. Seth bought me a laser printer. It is so great. I gave Seth lots of little stuff. He got movies, a new golf club, Game Cube games (Yea, we have an old Game Cube...we also have a Nintendo NES and a Sega Genesis too!), a new board game, and an organizer for the trunk of his car. The kids each got a few toys, but they really needed clothes so that's what they got. Luckily, they are still to young to complain that they got stupid clothes.

Another Update

Hey everyone! This blog will be another update because we have been so stinkin' busy.

October was filled with our usual Halloween stuff. We went to the Pumpkin Patch on the 27th. We pick a pumpkin at the Patch every year. It is such a fun tradition. We just let the kids run around for a while, which they absolutely love. After picking our pumpkin out, Seth noticed the mini-pumpkins and let the kids each pick one of those too. This year we actually got the pumpkin cleaned out to crave...but never got around to craving it. I'm pretty proud of ourselves because that is the farthest we have ever gotten to having a carved pumpkin. (We're lame, I know.)

For Halloween this year we dressed up as pirates...except for Megan who was a parrot. It was so adorable! I loved our costumes this year!

November was busy, busy, busy!
Daniel and Sarah had their first child. His name is Peter Moroni. Seth, Megan and I drove up to Logan, Utah for the baby blessing on the weekend of the 1st. It was really fun, but a long drive. Peter's blessing was at their house because Sarah couldn't leave the house. Daniel gave a very nice blessing. After the blessing, Dad said a prayer to bless the food. It was really funny because anyone who knows Dad knows he is a bit long winded when it comes to prayers. The blessing on the food was longer than the baby blessing! We got a cute picture of Daniel holding Peter; here it is:

Then on the 9th, Rebecca was in her first Primary Program. Her line was, "I am a child of God." When she got up to the mic, she shouted, "No!" Oh well, maybe next year.

Megan turned one this month. We had a small party for her. We wanted to do something bigger, but Seth and I were burnt out this month. She had fun and got a few new toys. Megan loved the chocolate cake. She is a chocaholic just like Seth!

Josh got married on the 22nd. His new bride, Rebekah, choose the Salt Lake Temple to get married in, so it was up to Utah again. It was interesting to go to Utah twice in one month. Seth gave one of the toasts at the reception breakfast. His toast was funny. He said that we are relieved because the ugly one finally got married. Ha Ha Ha! We thought it was really funny. While in Utah, we tried to get our family picture done, but when I got home and looked at them, they were all bad. I guess we'll try again in a few weeks.

During the last week of November, my mom came over to help Seth lay the tile in our bathroom. We are getting so close to finishing. It is very exciting.

Ok. There's my little update. Sorry for being so lazy...again!

Oh, Erica - my email is sethsnedegar@verizon.net. (How original, huh?)

Spiked! and other September random-ness

Ok. September has been a month of total random-ness for us. Nothing big and exciting really happened. I have no real event to scrapbook about, so I am going to have a page of different stuff that happened this month...like going to McDonald's, and Jeremy being so independent that he put his own pants on...backwards...and refused to let me fix them. Seth built the kids' bunk bed this month.

About the only exciting thing that happened to me was when Seth, Josh, Rebecca (Josh's fiancée), and I went to Red Robin for dinner. They were doing a fundraiser for the Silverado Cross-Country team and 10% of our dinner went to them. Well, I tried a new peach lemonade and it tasted kinda weird, not bad but weird. I was wondering to myself where I had tasted that weird taste before. After downing one and a half drinks, I realized what the taste was...it was alcohol!!! So, the waitress fixed my drink, and before dinner was even over I threw up in the bathroom. I was a little buzzed all night. Seth thought it was funny. He was calling me his "Drunk Wife." HaHa...very funny. I told Seth it was kinda good that in high school I tried alcohol because I would have thought nothing of it and drank 4 or 5 drinks. Never thought I would be thankful for my mistakes.

Update

Ok everyone, sorry for not blogging in a while. I've just been lazy. (Get used to it...This'll probably happen a lot!) Anyways, I thought I'd give everyone an update on what we've been doing these last few months.

May - Well, May kinda stunk for me because my uncle and great-grandmother passed away this month. But, before YeYe (my great-grandma) passed on, I got a 5 generation picture!!! Is that awesome or what? I got this picture in the nick of time because YeYe passed the very next day. It was very sad.

Me, Jeremy, my mom, Rebecca, Poppy (my great-grandpa), Grandpa, Megan & YeYe (in the chair)

June - June was super busy! Seth is the Senior Class Advisor this year, so the first week of June was Senior stuff...including him having to give a speech at graduationin front of thousands of people! I don't envy him there. Mary and Andy got married on June 20th. They are so cute together! They got married in the San Diego Temple. On the 22nd, Adam and Kassidy had a baby girl. Her name is Shayla. She is so beautiful! (Good looks run in the family, you know.) The last week of June, we went to Chuck-E-Cheese for Rebecca's birthday. The kids had so much fun!
Seth giving his speech at graduation. Brave soul!

Mr and Mrs. Andy Whitlock
Rebecca and Jeremy at the San Diego Temple
Me holding Shayla (I look horrible!)
Happy 4th Birthday Rebecca!

July - The month of July was kinda slow. We didn't do much. Rebecca started swimming lessons from her Grandma. Oh! Megan started crawling. I had to catch her though, she would not crawl if I was watching her. She's so silly!

Rebecca showing off her pretty bathing suit. She swims like a fish!

August - In August, we got a ton of house stuff finished. We painted and had carpet installed. It is so wonderful! We can actually live in our addition now...we still have to run extention cords because our electric is not done, but oh well. Megan started to pull herself up on things and stand. She's getting so big!

Megan standing by herself...well almost.

Ok, there you have it. There's the last 4 months in a nutshell. I'll try harder to not be so lazy in the future.

A New Tradition

This past Friday was Jeremy's second birthday. Seth and I started what we think will be a fun new tradition. We took Jeremy out on his day and went shopping with him. My mom babysat Rebecca and Megan while we were gone, so it was just Jeremy and his Mommy and Daddy. We first went to Toys R Us and let him loose. We didn't get a cart. Seth just let Jeremy walk where ever he wanted. We have never done that before. Jeremy was a little confused at first. He was probably like, "Huh?" Once he got the idea, he loved it. Jeremy wound up picking a new track for his Hot Wheels. After Toys R Us, we went to Best Buy and bought him a new movie. We got "The Emperor's New Groove." That is such a great movie! Finally, we went to Baskin Robbins. Some of Seth's students worked there, so that was fun. He had told them that if they made a perfect sphere scoop he would give them extra credit. One of his students was kinda upset because he said the last scoop he just made was perfect and Seth was two seconds late to see it. It was pretty funny. Anyway, I hope we can continue this tradition with all of the kids. Just on their actual birthday to spend a few hours just shopping or spending time with Mom and Dad.

How do you wear your glasses???

Here are some pictures of the kids in some funky sunglasses. My mom bought them for Rebecca's dressup stuff.

Megan wore them with innocence.

Jeremy wore them with extreme protest.

Rebecca wore them with pride...

...and drama!

Influenza

Ok. This stinks. Jeremy has influenza. On Tuesday, he was coughing and felt yucky. I made him an appointment with the doctor for the next day. On Wednesday, he was very sluggish and sleepy. At his doctor's appointment, I was expecting to get some antibiotics and be sent home. Wrong! I was told to go to the hospital! Huh??? Then I was pretty freaked out. I went across the street to St. Mary's and took Jeremy to the ER. Boy, he didn't like that place. He kept asking me to "Go, Go, Go." He just wanted to go home. Poor thing. Anyway, after doing some tests, they admitted him to a room and we found out he has influenza. His oxygen in his blood is a little low because of it, so they have him on oxygen. He also has to have breathing treatments. He was a little happier yesterday evening and was pretty playful, so that's a good sign. Here's some of his more playful moments:

Here's Jeremy playing with his car (you can't see the car, but it's there) while watching the movie "Cars." "Cars" is his favorite movie.

Here is Jeremy reading a book. He is showing me a bird.

Here's Jeremy and Grandma playing piano. Jeremy loves playing piano. He enjoyed playing at the hospital for about two whole minutes...then he got bored.

Service Project

Yesterday, the Ward came over to help Seth with the drywall on the ceiling. It was so great. The kids and I went over to my mom's house so we could keep out of the way. It is so exciting! We have a ceiling in the addition now! We are so close to finishing our house. Seth and I are so grateful to the Elders that came over to help us. Thanks guys!
